HyperOS 4 Is Rolling Out: Timeline and Eligible Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO Phones in India

Xiaomi has started rolling out its biggest software update of the year, and Indian users are eager to know when it will reach their phones. HyperOS 4, built on Android 17, brings a fresh design inspired by translucent glass, a smarter AI assistant and a long list of eligible Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO devices. Searches for the update rose sharply in India after Xiaomi published its global rollout plan. Here we explain the HyperOS 4 India timeline, the full list of HyperOS 4 eligible devices, what is new, and how to check whether your phone has the update.

The Global Rollout Has Begun

Xiaomi confirmed on 4 November 2026 that HyperOS 4 was now arriving on supported phones and tablets in some international markets, as ETV Bharat reported. The update first launched in China earlier in the autumn.

Xiaomi has split the global rollout into three phases, according to TelecomTalk’s breakdown of the schedule:

  • Early November 2026: recent flagships and popular mid-range phones
  • Mid-November 2026: previous-generation flagships and more POCO models
  • December 2026: older flagships and budget devices

When Will HyperOS 4 Reach India?

Xiaomi has not yet confirmed exact dates for India. In the past, Indian versions have usually arrived shortly after the global release, with HyperOS 3 landing on Indian devices around the end of 2025. Based on that pattern, Indian users can reasonably expect the update to begin arriving over the coming weeks, but timing will vary by model.

Phones Getting the Update First

Early November covers many of Xiaomi’s newest devices, including:

  • Xiaomi: Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro
  • POCO: POCO F8 Ultra, F8 Pro, X8 Pro Max, X8 Pro, X8, M8 Pro, M8, C95 Pro and C85
  • REDMI: REDMI Note 17 and Note 15 series, REDMI 17 series, REDMI 17C 5G and REDMI 15C models
  • Tablets: Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 8

Mid-November

The second phase adds the Xiaomi 15T Pro and 15T, POCO F9 Ultra, F9 Pro, F7 Ultra, F7 Pro, F7 and X7 Pro, plus the Xiaomi Pad 7 tablets and REDMI Pad 2 Pro.

December

The final phase brings HyperOS 4 to older models, including Xiaomi’s 13 and 14 series, Xiaomi MIX Flip, the REDMI Note 14 series, POCO F6 series, POCO X6 Pro and several REDMI Pad 2 tablets.

What’s New in HyperOS 4

The update brings several noticeable changes:

  • A new glass-inspired design, which Xiaomi calls Soft Light Glass, with translucent layers and smoother animations.
  • Android 17 features, bringing the latest platform improvements and security updates.
  • An improved AI assistant, designed to handle everyday tasks more naturally.
  • Refined performance, with Xiaomi focusing on smoother scrolling and app launches.

Xiaomi has asked users to share feedback through its Services and Feedback app as the rollout continues.

How to Check for the Update

Updates arrive in waves, so not every phone will see HyperOS 4 at the same time. To check:

  • Open Settings and tap About phone.
  • Tap the HyperOS version to check for updates.
  • Download and install if HyperOS 4 is available.

Before installing, we recommend backing up your photos, contacts and chats, charging your phone to at least 50%, and using Wi-Fi, since major updates are large.

A Big Refresh for Xiaomi Fans

HyperOS 4 brings a striking new look and Android 17 to a wide range of Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO devices. Indian users may need to wait a little longer, but the rollout is clearly under way. Check the eligible list, back up your phone, and keep an eye on your software update settings over the next few weeks.
